Some Things To Think About The Next Time VP Biden Spouts Off On "Patriotism"

.
From National Review Online:

The history of Biden's earnings, and charitable contributions:

1998 Adjusted Gross Income $215,432 Charity donation $195
1999 Adjusted Gross Income $210,797 Charity donation $120
2000 Adjusted Gross Income $219,953 Charity donation $360
2001 Adjusted Gross Income $220,712 Charity donation $360
2002 Adjusted Gross Income $227,811 Charity donation $260
2003 Adjusted Gross Income $231,375 Charity donation $260
2004 Adjusted Gross Income $234,271 Charity donation $380
2005 Adjusted Gross Income $321,379 Charity donation $380
2006 Adjusted Gross Income $248,459 Charity donation $380
2007 Adjusted Gross Income $319,853 Charity donation $995
Total Adjusted Gross Income $2,450,042 Charity donation $3,690

Between 1998 and 2007, Biden made over $2.4 million, yet he donated only $3,700 --- or slightly over 1/100 of a single percent --- to charity.

Yet he has the audacity to claim that it's "patriotic" to pay higher taxes, so the Obama administration can redistribute more tax dollars to benefit their favorite charitable and welfare-state causes:

Democrats: They'll give you the shirt off your neighbor's back --- while keeping their own under lock and key.

Not that Biden is unique. In 2008, a detailed study was conducted by economics professor Arthur C. Brooks to determine whether liberals or conservatives gave more of their income to support charities.

Despite the fact that on average, liberals earn 6% more than conservatives, the latter gave far more to charities. Read George Will's superb article,
